When I was contacted last fall to photograph the First Annual Run For Resilience 5k, I was beyond excited! I don't typically photograph races, but I felt a little tug on my heart to support a cause many people aren't aware of. Flash forward to a couple months ago, I was asked to photograph the family behind our Boise 5k.

Megan Herrett poured so much of her heart into Run for Resiliance for Boise, not just for her family, but to bring awareness and support to others who have or may have ostomy surgery in the future. Both Matt and Megan's kiddos needed ostomy bags at an early start and it saved their lives. Their strength is evident in these images and I cannot wait to see the impact they have on others as they grow up. Read more about Run for Resilience 5k and their mission, life with an ostomy pouch, and how we can support them: https://ostomy5k.org/live-learn-share/

Join us on Saturday, October 14th as we support them again at the 2nd Annual Boise, ID Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k. You can sign up here: https://runsignup.com/Race/ID/Boise/BoiseRunForResilienceOstomy5k

Strong is the only word I keep coming back to when describing these photographs. The photos that hang on your wall will forever reflect that strength. Thank you, Herrett Family, for letting me into your lives for this short time to capture these sweet memories for you.
