You know who has a good time doing just about anything together? The Reece family. From start to finish we played, laughed, and I got to witness some amazing dance moves. I had so much fun documenting their silly personalities and showing them how fun lifestyle photography sessions truly are. It was their first of many and next time I vow to bring bug spray for all.Read More
I get a lot of questions about newborn lifestyle photography and what to expect. Let's do a quick refresher on what lifestyle photography is and why I'm completely obsessed with it.
Let's set the scene. You just brought home your new baby and instantly that little human starts growing (oh, so much faster than we'd like to admit). What will you want to remember when that little human is all grown? Perhaps those tiny fingers wrapped around yours or how easy their head fit into dad's palms? Possibly the way you and dad looked at him completely in love and thankful that he's finally here?Read More
This little love just turned O N E and we have been excited about this session for months! I'm so happy to finally share the rest because oh my goodness....Just look at them. Little C gave us all the smiles and was such a trooper during the chilly morning sunrise. I didn't even have to pull out my bag of tricks. And well, we couldn't end the session without a little cake smash. Don't stop scrolling until you see! Thanks Reader family for such a fun session! I'll play with you guys again and again forever!Read More
What is one of the main reasons mamas put off family photos you ask? Wardrobe. I cannot tell you how often I hear, "we've never done photos because the thought of planning it was enough to put it off another year."
Deciding what to wear for your session can seem like a huge chore. I get it. But that's also why I'm here to help. It's my job to make you feel 100% confident going into your session and following these simple tips will get you going on the right path. But first, don’t forget to check your closet!Read More
What was suppose to be a location scouting adventure turned into a mini session for our TWO year old. Sadly, I find it harder and harder to edit our own personal photos these days, let alone take them. I save personal photos for the off season or the days she takes extra long naps (praying those never end!).
We call her our "Nora the Explorer" because, hello, just look at her. On the go with an agenda to play. No looking at my camera, she says! Some day I hope she loves taking photos as much as I do, but for now I'll capture her doing what she does best... Being a toddler, and an independent one at that! I don't want to forget the way she grips her lovey, runs off quick to show me a new bridge, or even the face she gets before her famous toddler tantrum (scroll down for proof!). But most importantly, I want to remember our daily adventures with just the two of us. Being us. Our days seem long and when she falls asleep we miss her. And if you're a mama, you know the years, they are too short.Read More
When I'm given the opportunity to photograph equine professionals I'm all in. I may not be the most comfortable riding these beautiful creatures, but photographing them is a whole different story. If you have a horse or animal you want photographed, don't forget that I welcome this in my packages. Spring is here and our golden sunsets pair perfectly with your ranch and horses.Read More
Maybe I'm being a little sentimental because our baby was born 2 years ago today. I dropped her off at daycare and she cried because she's still adjusting to the change. It's always us. Our days are always together. We're learning how to navigate toddlerhood, a strong personality (or 2!), and she's learning how to communicate what she needs. She loves her dogs, her babies, cooking me lunch in her kitchen, and exploring new parks in the afternoons. Oh, how time has flown by already.Read More
